I am constantly on the hunt for unusual and beautifully illustrated children's books. I found these two books at our church rummage sale last week. They are certainly "old school". The patterns, simple drawings and colors are so pleasant to the eye. What are your favorite illustrated children's books?

very sweet! I love the book The Fisherman's Song - Carly Simon it has BEAUTIFUL illustrations!!! I also loved my copy of the Secret Garden as a child, it had wonderful black and white drawings at the start of each chapter.
