Happy Saturday!!Wow, what is this costume all about? I wonder where this photo was taken. It is fabulous. I would love to have listened to this dancer in her later years tell the tale of her feathered costume. I'm sure it became more embellished each time - naturally. Maybe she was a Broadway dancer and this photo was taken before her final performance of the season. Maybe she was a small town ballerina who snuck away to become a showgirl in the big city. Maybe her name was Viv, or Helen or Ilse and she was a famous prima ballerina - or she was chosen to replace the prima ballerina that season (or night) because the lead caught a terrible cold. Likely she was a heart breaker. What do you think her story is? Have a great day.
