    I love apple cake & love having another recipe to try. My mom had a terrific recipe that had a hard sauce on top called Whidbey Island Apple Cake. Can't wait to give this a try. Thanks & happy Wed.

    Sounds yummy! My hubby talks about an apple cake his mom use to make "many" years ago. We haven't been able to find the recipe.
